If you walk on any Indian street at evening, you would see making of bajji's. Next to banana, Chilli is most used ingredient for making of bajji. Bajji is a best combination for tea. In fact most of the poor people, will just take couple of bajji along with tea for a alternative for meal.
Ingredients:
Green pepper – 3
Besan/gram flour – 1-1/2 cup
Rice flour – ½ cup
Red chilli powder – 2 teaspoon
Asafoetida – ½ tablespoon
Ginger garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Salt as required
Oil for deep fry
Steps:
Heat 2 cup of oil in a pan for deep fry.
While oil heating, in parallel add 1-1/2 of gram flour in a bowl.
Add ½ cup of rice flour, Salt, 2 teaspoon of red chilli powder, ½ asafoetida, 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste.
Add enough water and make it to thick batter.
Cut the green pepper into pieces if it is long.
Check whether oil is hot enough to deep fry.
Dip the green chilli in the batter and put gently in the oil.
Deep fry until the bajji become golden color.
Take out and place in a paper towel.
Now the green pepper bajji is ready to serve.
