Mullu
Muruku or Magizhambpoo Murukku is one of the crispy, easy to make
recipe. We can do this quickly with store bough rice flour. This
traditional murukku is prepared for many auspicious occasions and
festivals. For marriages, seemandham, and many other events, this
mullu murukku is kept as seer dish. For Diwali festival, it is a
tradition in my family.
Ingredients:
Rice flour – 1 cup
Roasted Urad dal flour – ¼ cup
asafoetida – ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Ajwain – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
Oil two teaspoon
Salt as required
Oil for deep fry
Steps:
Add 1 cup rice flour, ¼ cup roasted urad dal flour, ¼ tsp Asafoetida, ½ tsp cumin seeds, ½ tsp ajwain, ¼ tsp red chilli powder, 2 tsp of oil, in a pan and mix it.
Add water spoon by spoon and make a thick dough.
Now take a part of dough and dump into murukku maker.
Press the dough with other attachment thorough the mullu murukku disc into oil.
Deep fry until golden in color.
Take out and place it on a paper towel.
Now mullu murukku is ready to serve.
